We have been summoned,
To the farthest point of this earth,
Allied to all living creatures,
Consumed by storm and terror...
Following the shadows
To an unavoidable battle
Destiny awaits us,
As we march for a last stand,
Confident and strong,
We are going to war!
We can smell the burning flesh...
We can hear the lost spirits...
We can see the end coming...
As we can sense
The cold touch of death
I hear the weapons clunking from the distant,
Men, chanting their freedom
Falling, empoisoned by fear...
Facing creatures of the unknown
Crushing our will
Destroying our faith
The wolfs are howling,
Devouring the flesh of the recent dead,
Tracking their kills in hordes...
We are deserting...
Taking refuge through the woods...
The age of men diminish,
Our reign is falling...
To a Large wooden door,
We stopped, frightened...
And someone long lost, appear to us,
We knew is legend, his name, his sword...
A warrior,
So old...
The one,
The sorrow...
At a time,
So cold
When we needed a Hero...
A Hero!!!
To end it all
The faith of the human race,
Long gone under their own eyes...
When facing, their own death...
Time, for higher consult, is mere obsolete...
The truth too heavy to bear,
Cost an era of knowledge...
But too long dissipated in abstraction...
Lead chaos to its purpose...
Eradication of the weakest...
And nature, to grow again
Stronger
The crows are blackening the skies,
Twirling around the battlefield
Chaos crushing harmony...
I'd say Havukruunu is the rightful holder of the Crown and the mantle of Quorthon. Epic choirs, vikingesque themes and tales from the other times, of the Finnish paganism back in the days before our ancestors were brought to the cross and forced to kneel while feeling the bloody sword of saviour on their throats made to kiss the hand of murderers who burnt thousands, tore down our holy places and took our holy days. Eyes teary I listen to these songs, never forgiving the crimes of the cross! Peikonmieli
This album is incredible. A perfect embodiment of those northern winds piercing you to the heart. I'm convinced these riffs could move glaciers. 𝔅𝔩𝔦𝔰𝔰 ॐ 𝔄𝔟𝔶𝔰𝔰
Nearly a decade after their last LP, the Chicago post-metal trio resurface with a punishing concept album set in an apocalyptic wasteland. Bandcamp New & Notable May 5, 2024
The metal’s band revelatory new record crosses genres and styles, effortlessly combining seemingly incompatible subgenres. Bandcamp Album of the Day Apr 26, 2024
Late 90's BM worship, but it's also a lil more than that. This album takes the best elements from the scene it's inspired by and mostly avoids the worst of it; the song-writing is well-written, it's performed with passion and fun, and the production is raw but isn't lo-fi. (i.e. it doesn't obfuscate and/or suckass).
Tl;dr It's safe but high quality BM. Recommended. Rabbit
